Legacy Works was founded in December of 2010 by Sylvia Peters and Trey Townsend after they collaborated in October of 2010 on a short video at the Knoxville, TN premiere of the educational documentary Waiting For Superman.

Mission Statement

Legacy Works is a small film company based in Knoxville, Tennessee that aims to produce films by two disenfranchised segments of the population “an old person and some kids” so to speak, that will have an impact on everyone. Legacy Works aspires to have an impact on the region of East Tennessee and ultimately the nation through the extraordinary background and experience of Sylvia Peters and the innovative filmmaking of Director Trey Townsend.
